How do you get your City, Town or County to adopt our Cares Enough to Wear Pink and Pink Heals Movement?
Since our program is free and all the money raised is kept locally to be directed to charities and people in need, your local leaders will want too, and should adopt our program! Remember we are celebrating women and families battling cancer and other health related issues through love and support! If this program celebrates her and what she means to us in our daily lives, then all your community leaders, businesses and politicians will have to support this program.
Take our press kit and fill out our Pink Heals Petition and bring it to your community leaders; Mayor, City Council, City Manager, Fire Chief, Police Chief, School Superintendents and any other tax based organization that you feel should be out raising money for the people in your community! Remember we should not direct this program to other large charities; we do not work for them! We should fund raise and celebrate our people without committing to charities. When we complete a job well done, then you decide who to give the money to. We have found in a lot of instances that unless the charity is guaranteed the money, they really do not work for the donation. If it’s about the people, it should never be about the money!
Event ideas using the Pink Heals/Cares Enough to Wear Pink brand
Pink Heals run and walk for general public: It is important that you get your city to adopt our program first and then coordinate this fundraiser with them!
Our belief is that the people that donate the money at this event should see the immediate impact of their donation or gift. We are looking for volunteers all across the country that want to facilitate these events. If you are interested please get a hold of us and we’ll help get you started. You may choose a logo and personalize a shirt for your specific area from our organization. WE will sell you a shirt at a reduced price of $6.50. Say you ask for a fifty dollar donation and they get a shirt with their registration, this leaves you with $43.50 for every person that signs up. Knowing that you will spend some money on material like flyer’s you may have about $40.00 when all is said and done. Your walk or run will end up at a local charity, cancer center or even a persons home. We must make sure that 100% of the donation stays in your community, county or State. Put into a box a list of organizations that provide services to your people battling cancer, then have a drawing to see who gets our donation, you may end up making two or three stops. We are creating immediate care by supporting people rather than causes, none of the money is suppose to be sent to any parent organization. This is not about supporting large corporate charities and their overhead!
We do not have the ability to carry the expenses for the shirts so you will have to come up with the initial costs of the shirts with a minimum order of (144 ). Check with us to see if we have a chapter in your area, we will coordinate with them to help you plan this event. Remember that if you have a chapter in your area, they are a charity that guarantees money raised stays in their community, so please support them!
Pink Heals School challenge: Do they Care Enough to Wear Pink?
Have schools design personalized shirts that they can get from us that align them with our Pink Heals/ Cares Enough to Wear Pink program and make it a contest to see which school sells the most shirts. November 1 is our National Pink Heals Day and this would be a great time to have them wear their shirts to school. That school and their student body then get to decide which charity or family will receive the donation from their labor of love. Remember to not use an awareness ribbon on any of your shirts when using our brand, this is about people and not a specific charity or cause!
